MPE is a good idea.
But is it still up to date?

MIDI Polyphonic Expression was a great opportunity of expressive playing in times of MIDI 1.0

MPE stands for MIDI Polyphonic Expression and is a method of using MIDI that allows multidimensional controllers (MDCs) such as Muse Kinetics and LinnStrument to control multiple parameters (such as Pitch Bend, Vibrato, tone, volume) of each individual note separately when using MPE-compatible software. Normally, channel-wide MIDI messages such as Pitch Bend are applied to all notes on a single channel. MPE allows each note to have its own MIDI channel, so these parameters can work independently per note.

That was great in the days of MIDI 1.0 - because compatible and therefore relatively easy to implement in the software of plugins and synthesizers.

But now it gitb a new MIDI standard: V2.0
And all these possibilities are included much more elegant and even more flexible.
So now it wouldn't be time to cut off the old braids and switch from MPE?
